Came here to celebrate a birthday with a group of friends. This is a must try location for birthdays. Staff played a song and gave a scoop of ice cream with a lit candle. If it's your birthday you eat for free. Everything came out to about $40 per person for AYCE hot pot. Making a reservation was quick and easy. Just a phone call and a quick confirmation. I was able to get a table for 10 people. We were huddled into our own private booth. Ordering food was easy. Just had to scan a QR code on our table and add what we wanted to the cart. Everything tasted good and we got our money's worth. I already plan on going again next year and I'm sure my friends may do the same on their birthdays. Most of them never had hot pot and walked away enjoying the nice surprise. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to coming back.

Great place for a get together Pro - fairly priced for NY standard. 30$ hotpot AYCE with kbbq as an option but we didn't do kbbq - service is good - easy to order on mobile - lots of good dip - seated pretty fast during dinner time on a Friday night Con - can't really think of any for the price you pay. Nothing stood out as terrible

Great place to have your birthday because it's free within a few days of your birthday. It's also quite large inside so you can have a big party in one of the booths - like it was very easy to fit 6 people. You can pick bbq, hotpot, or both - and the table can pick different things. Service is fast and all the food comes quickly. Ordering is done on your phone so you can add things very easily. Sauce bar is average, but nothing special. They have all of the usual suspects and the Chinese seaweed salad thing. It looked like some spots were missing dishes though, so maybe they have more dishes usually. The selection for the bbq meats is good and extensive. The thinner brisket ones were definitely fattier, but there were some other cuts of meat that were so good. Definitely just order a bunch and try everything. Meats were well seasoned and went well with the sauce bar. Hotpot also had an extensive selection of fish balls, seaweed, meats, quail eggs, all kinds of tofu, and vegetables. Their youtiao was not fresh though.

A great hot pot restaurant if you want AYCE. They had a good amount of options to choose from. Super spaciois restaurant with two floors and many seats for groups of people. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and they have sectioned-off rooms for large parties which makes it more intimate and super fun.

Truly a great group experience in NY with a variety of flavorful options in a lively environment. Setting: Very busy, but spacious restaurant. Do expect a longer wait if you don't have a reservation. Although my party had a reservation we faced a wait time which was disappointing. Service: Since the restaurant is packed, service was on the slower side which was unfortunate given the time limit. Nonetheless, the staff was kind! Food: Truly the highlight! With many options between hot pot and/or KBBQ, the sauce bar is a great addition as well.

Service is super quick, ambiance is fine but the birthday song goes off too often. Amazing selection of meats and veggies- pretty good bang for your buck. Sauce bar is decent too but don't expect much out of the sesame sauce- tastes like watered down peanut butter. The broths are also decent but it's not top notch like a more focused expensive hot pot place might be. Still good though and overall well worth your money for $30 ayce, considering that eating a mid dinner at a trendy restaurant in Manhattan costs like $50. This place is above mid. And I have socal / Bay Area standards for hot pot k? The lotus root is poppin. Thick cut and stringy, like fresh. Wood ear mushrooms are a lil dry.

Out of all the hot pot places in the city, 99 Favor Taste is the one that I keep coming back to. I've honestly been here too many times to count. I last came on a Friday night and was able to get a table immediately. Even if there is a wait for tables, I've never had to wait for long. What I love most about 99 Favor Taste is that it's AYCE at an affordable price. They have a wide selection to choose from, and everything is surprisingly good quality, including the seafood. I think the broths are pretty flavorful, and their sauce bar is huge too. Depending on where you sit, you either get the big pot with the dividers or you get an individual pot. I will say that the service is not the greatest. They're not always the friendliest or most helpful, but it's always busy there at night, so I can see why. If you go here for your birthday, your meal is free. I know people who hate how often they play the Happy Birthday song, but I think it's just part of the charm of the place. I'm giving this place 4 stars because it just can't compete with all the fancy a la carte hot pot places in terms of the ingredients and quality, but I'll definitely keep coming back here when I just wanna stuff my face.

tl/dr; for the accustomed, another wonderful lunch. Don't expect 'training wheels' here (e.g., extra help, explanations, communication). Had a very nice meal with friends who have never been. She explained the experience as 'frenetic' - fast and energetic in a rather wild and uncontrolled way. I think this summed up 99 Favor yesterday. The mobile site to order wasn't working for broth. We couldn't get the broths ordered properly, and when you're hungry and waiting for broth, unsure if it's ever coming out or not, is not a good thing. To make it worse, our hotpot food items came out before the broths did. Some things were never brought out (like lettuce), and we were never checked on. We had to make a distressed call for help for things like more water to drink or when our pots were dangerously low. For BBQ, my newbie friend did marinaded meats first and got the grill all gunked up. Thankfully, service knew we wanted it changed when we turned it off, cleared it, and ordered more meats. Some of the items were not my favorite, like the premium pork. We didn't get too adventurous yesterday, I would have liked some items. But I never saw any of these things as an issue. I've come to accept this as the way of life with 99 Favor - suppose it took a newbie for me to realize just how chaotic it all can be. And all the proteins and vegetables were all otherwise really good! We had a very nice time and enjoyed a leisurely self-paced afternoon.
